WHERE WE CAME FROM
Hayden’s Detailing Services was founded in September of 2022 by me, Hayden Durick. I have always had a strong work ethic, love for helping people, and a passion for cars. Every summer I go down to Tennessee with some people in my youth group at Brandywine Community Church to help those in need, and after that summer I realized even in the most uncomfortable circumstances how much seeing the homeowners reactions to the work we did made me happy. So I got home and I was thinking “hmmm, that was really rewarding seeing how pleased they were with our work.” So I got to thinking about how much I love cars. So I got an old shop vac out of the garage and started practicing on my 1996 Ford explorer which I bought with my own money at the age of 15. I got to the point where I was able to remove the stains and odors and just bring it back to life. So with that I said “man I really enjoy doing this” so I went on Amazon and bought an extractor, some brushes, and a steamer. Next thing I know I’m detailing family’s vehicles and even getting some of my very first customers, and just completely fell in love with the work. I know I’m young and I’ve been doubted many times but in the time I have done this I’ve learned that no matter how old, how skilled, or how much passion you put into things people are always going to doubt you. You just have to ignore the negativity, do what you love, and prove them wrong, cause at the end of the day, their pre judgements can’t outweigh the passion you have for things. There have been times that I’ve thought “what if I don’t do good enough?” “What if this isn’t what I’m supposed to do?” “What if I fail?” “What if I disappoint my parents?”… and yes those thoughts can effect you, but I said no, I wasn’t going to let the negativity of the people that haven’t even seen my work stop me from doing what I enjoy.
